Mov(i)ements
Video essay series on various influential waves and movements in film history.
These movements challenged the rigid norms of what was considered acceptable in cinema, seeking new forms of expression even within the constraints of the studio system or under strict censorship. They not only reflected the realities of their time but also helped shape them, influencing generations of artists and filmmakers. Not surprisingly, they also speak to one another—across time and space—through shared concerns and influences, formal experimen-tations, and resistance to dominant practices.
The series was produced in cooperation with Boon TV and is publicly broadcast in Armenia.
