A Parajanov Tryptich
Each image is just a brief slice of time—a detail from the labyrinth of dreams and memory: a pattern on a rug, a photograph from a family album, a paper plane, or a melody from a music box. Yet together, they tell the story of the interconnectedness of all experiences and the eternal cycle of existence—birth, death, and transfiguration.
The video collage combines frames from three short films by Sergei Parajanov (left to right: "Hakob Hovnatanyan", 1967, “Kyiv Frescoes", 1966, and "Arabesques on the Pirosmani Theme", 1985).
Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Sergei Parajanov.
Screened at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival.
